Look at the structure of any QR code: there are three large double-bordered blocks located in the top-left, top-right, and bottom-left margins. These are called Positioning Finder Patterns.

A high-speed camera uses these standard shapes to immediately calculate the rotation orientation, perspective skew, and grid density of the scan surface. If your uploaded brand logo spills over or even slightly clips these three squares, the scan algorithm will completely fail to identify the grid. Keep your custom design overlays strictly within the center grid of your layout.

Rule 3: Ensure Safe Margins and High Color Contrast

A major issue in styled codes is background bleeding. If your center logo relies on a transparent alpha layer, it interacts with the underlying QR dots, producing a cluttered, illegible visual mash.
